Liebster award nominations!!

This post is solely dedicated to the three Liebster nominations I have recently been so lucky to receive from some amazing fellow bloggers!

First nomination: from the lovely Voguedvintage

1. What made you start your blog and what's your favourite part about being a blogger?
I started my blog because I absolutely love reading other peoples, getting to know what the latest fashion trend is and the best beuty tips on the web. I am also currently studying apfashion at uni so thought it would be a great asset to put on my cv! My fave part about being a blogger is definitely meeting new people and finding new blogs, the blogging world is so diverse and friendly and I'm so happy to be a part of it!

2. Do you have any style icons? If so, why?
I don't think I necessarily have one style icon in particular, I definitely love the Kardashian's wardrobe! I base my style on people that wear individual and cutting edge things. I love when someone wears something different from everyone else and has their own unique taste.

3. What's your favourite item in your makeup bag?
My favourite item would have to be my Santhilea magnetic mascara! That stuff completely transforms my eyes, giving me loads of volume and so much length to my lashes that on more than one occasion people have asked me if I have falsies on!

4. What's your favourite item in your wardrobe and why?
My fave item of clothing at the moment would have to be my eye print dress from Zara, it's such a diverse piece of clothing, I'm able to wear it during the day at uni or with heals on a night out.

5. If you could do anything in the world, regardless of expenses, what would it be?
I would deffo have to say, travelling the world. I love learning about new cultures, meeting new people and seeing new places. I want to see what else the world has to offer and try as many new things as I can.

6. In terms of style, what's your favourite period in history?
Okay, so this isn't really history, but the 90's. Looking back to the style and the music and just the way of life that was lived back then, I would have lived to be a teenager in the 90's. If you watch My Mad Fat Diary, you'll know what I mean!

7. If you could hang out with 4 famous people, who would they be?
Leonardo DiCaprio
Beyonce
Karl Pilkington
Harry Styles

8. What do you think, is unique about your blog?
I think the uniqueness about my blog is the fact that everything I write is purely me! I don't try to be someone else, mill just type down what's in my head.

9. If you could live a day in the life of anyone at all, who would they be and why?
I'd love to live a day as Zac Efron, and just stare in the mirror. All. Day.

10. How would you describe your style in one word?
Particular

11. If you could give any beauty/fashion advice to anyone starting out, what would it be?
Always be yourself (biggest cliche ever) but I mean it! If you like it p, wear it! People who have a problem with something your are wearing/doing are only jealous because they didn't think if it first.
'First they laugh, then they copy.'

My next nomination was from the lovely Aimée at AiméeSmith190

1. What's is your favourite beauty brand?
My fave beauty brand at the moment is Topshop makeup.

2. If you could only use one beauty product, what would it be?
Deffo mascara!

3. What is your favourite eyeshadow palette?
NAKED2 by Urban Decay.

4. If you were to give any beauty or style advice what would it be?
When wearing a dark lipstick: after applying, put your finger in your mouth, close your lips around it, then pull it out. It removes any excess lipstick which may then transfer on to your teeth, and that is NOT a good look!

5. Quote that you live by?
'What Susie says of Sally, says more Susie than of Sally'

6. Which do you prefer: dark of light lip colour?
Light.

7. Do you wear eyeliner regularly?
No.

8. What is your favourite facial feature?
Probably my lips.

9. If you were to only use one eye shadow shade for the rest of your life, what would you use and why?
I would use a coppery brown colour, as I have brown eyes and I think that shade compliments them the best p.

10. I am trying to find the best bronzer at a reasonable price, what would you reccomend?
Personally, I use Bourjois Delice de Pourdre Bronzing Powder, and I love it! It has a beautiful matte finish and is great for contouring, it's inly £6.99 in Boots (it smells goo too!!)

11. What beauty products do you always carry with you in your handbag?

MAC satin finish lipstick in Faux
Bourjois Delice de Pourdre Bronzing Powder
Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer
Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme mascara (mini)
Real Techniques Blush Brush

My third nomination came from the lovely Georgia at Curiousgeorgiaaa

1. Favourite book?
My fave book would have to be 'This Charming Man' by Marian Keyes.

2. Favourite film?
Titanic all the way!

3. In your opinion what is the best mascara to use?
Although it's a little pricey (around £22) I would definitely say Santhilea magnetic mascara, for amazing volume and length.

4. Best holiday?
Barbados with my Mum a few years ago, so amazing mixing with the locals and the island is so stunning!

5. Any siblings?
A step-brother and a step-sister.

6. Favourite quote?
Although I live by the quote 'what Susie says of Sally, says more of Susie than of Sally', my favourite quote is 'Cogito Ergo Sum' meaning, 'I think therefore I am'.

Black primark leggings, oversized tshirt and fluffy socks!

8. Go to outfit for days out?
Depending in the weather, probably a casual yet pretty dress and some comfy flats.

Going on days out with my family, having sleepovers and playing out.

Although I've already been, I would have to say Barbados again!

Oxford Street Haul.

The other day I went to Oxford Street in London for a bit of retail therapy.
I absolutely love shopping in London, and there is so much inspiration about that it's hard not to overuse the old debit card (oops).
Luckily, I didn't end up spending too much this time!
I found this great statement clutch bag in Zara for a steal at £19.99, I think it would be great to emphasise a casual look on a night out. I also love what it says 'stessed' one one side and 'but well dressed' on the other, a definite must have!
I also love the white pleather skirt, the gold detailing is so classy and it's great that it's still such a simple piece.
I then headed over to the motherland, TOPSHOP! The Topshop on Oxford street is absolutely insane, I literally think that if I got lost in there, there would be no hope in finding me!
Unfortunately, nothing really grabbed my eye in the clothing section, but as you can see I went a bit cray cray in the makeup department.
I LOVELOVELOVE Topshop, I think it's really great quality for an affordable price, and you can't deny that the packaging is te cutest thing ever!!!

LDN🇬🇧

On Saturday I came down to London to visit family. Knowing I'd be out all day, travelling through London, on & off trains, I thought I'd dress up for the occasion (use it as an excuse to wear my new dress).

I absolutely love this dress, I've seen many celebrities & bloggers wearing it & just had to get my hands on it before they all sold out! The pastel colour totally fits in with the current colour trend & the original print gives it an interesting edge.

I chose to use my plain black Zara bag so the attention wasn't taken off the dress, keeping it the main focus point of the outfit. This bag is great for travelling as it has a lot of compartments & it's is also very versatile.

I also paired the dress with these great black canvas lace-up Chelsea boots. They're lovely & chunky & I love the height of them, I wore them for around 5 hours straight on Saturday and felt NO PAIN (win)!

Items in this post:

Printed Eye Dress With Zip - Zara (25.99)
Faux Learher Bag - Zara (29.99)
Sunglasses - Primark
Black Canvas Lace-Up Boots - Ebay (13.00)

Summer Inspiration & Flatform Love

With summer approaching (or what we in Britain believe we can call summer), I thought it was about time to whack out some summery accessories.

Flatforms are undoubtedly a huge trend for 2014, ranging in height and style. I picked up these classic white, double buckle flatform sandles last July in the Topshop sale. I think they're a great statement piece to any summer outfit & the colour white is so popular in the footwear world at the minute.

My Mad Fat Diary, has really helped in bringing back that classic 90's dress sense. The round sunglasses I have picked out really capture the 90's trend, with a slightly modern twist, with the larger size of frame.

I love this gold chunky eagle necklace, such a Topshop classic. These came out in a variety of colours, but I thought gold would be the most versatile for most of the outfits I would be wearing it with.

Items in this post:

Gold Eagle Necklace: Topshop
White Double Buckle Flatforms: Topshop
White Round Lense Sunglasses: Primark

LUSH Christmas Bath Essentials Still Going Strong!

During the Christmas period, it was safe to say I went a little LUSH crazy! It's an illness that can't be helped, I challenge you to enter a LUSH store with out leaving with a serious dent in your bank account. Especially with the magical limited edition Christmas products on offer. My absolute favourite bath bomb must of been the 'Luxury Pud Bath Bomb'!
The colours and the smell was just divine!  I loved it so much that I went and bought two more & I now eagerly await December so I can get my Christmas pudding bath bomb fix.
I still have a few of the bath products left over from Christmas & ONE of the Luxury Pud bath bombs. Yet I am adamant on not using it as it gives off such a strong scent that it fills my whole bathroom!
Long live the Christmas Pud!

Florida Beauty Haul

So a few months ago I went to Florida for two weeks on a family vacation. I had been working hard for months & saving up all my wages so I was able to splurge whilst I was out there, and boy did I!
Going out there, I had a few items that I wanted in mind, such as; the Urban Decay 'Naked 2' palette and a MAC eye shadow palette.
The reason I bought so many expensive items was due to the fact that makeup is slightly cheaper in America because of exchange rate.
The real bargains were the products I bought from 'Walgreens', it's a very large & popular drug store over in the US (quite like Walmart).
I spent hours in that store & I mean, HOURS. There were just so many interesting products in there, items that I have never seen in this country & needless to say, the makeup selection was HUGE!
To give an example of price differences, I got my hands on one of the EOS lip balms for around $3/4 & have just noticed that they are now on the Topshop website for a whopping £7!
